Before you start
Your router sets up two WireGuard tunnels, one to each PoP (Antwerp and Zaventem). Your fixed IP arrives through those tunnels; if one goes down, the other takes over. Only the traffic of your fixed IP goes through the tunnels; all your other traffic keeps going directly over your own internet connection.
Preferably set up the tunnel on your router: that way you can forward your fixed IP to any device in your network. On a PC or Mac, all traffic of that device goes through your fixed IP while the tunnel is active.
With your order you receive the details you need: your key, your tunnel addresses, your fixed IP(s) and the addresses of our tunnel servers. In the guides they appear as placeholders, such as FIXED_IP; replace them with your own details.
Using 4G/5G or Starlink and connections stall? Set the tunnel MTU to 1360 instead of 1420.
Important: your router must answer ping on its tunnel addresses. Our tunnel servers ping each tunnel to know which one works; without a reply, we don't send your fixed IP to that tunnel.
